PCE Automation Ltd have recently completed the purchase of a Zoll 3 AED Fully Automatic Defibrillator machine, from the St Johns Ambulance. As many may know, one of the most important factors in the preservation of life is access to early defibrillation, where the survival rates can significantly increase to approximately 70%, compared to those who can only receive CPR.

This was the driving force behind our decision to invest in this vital piece of equipment.  Staff members have undergone defib training and the unit itself provides comprehensive step by step instructions to the care giver.

Operations Manager Andy Reeve commented “We are committed to providing a safe working environment for our team members and are delighted to add this vital piece of life preserving equipment to the business.   It is hoped that we won’t need to deploy the defib all that often, but it is great to be prepared for any emergency situation.  The statistics regarding early defibrillation speak for themselves, which made the purchase a simple decision.”

The equipment shall initially be available to PCE staff, within working hours.  We do however intend to make this equipment available to the wider community.  We will be sure to update you of our plans as they happen.
