On Friday 9th November 2018, PCE attended the prestigious 11th annual Suffolk Chamber of Commerce Business Awards, held at the Ivy House Country Hotel in Suffolk. The evening itself was an exceptional night of entertainment and dining, meticulously planned and executed by the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce.
PCE Automation were finalists in the Growing Business of the Year Award and were represented by MD James Cook, Directors David Nolloth and David Cullen and Technical Author Steve Mortlock, in recognition of compiling the application.
After a sumptuous 3 course meal the awards ceremony got underway, recognising the fine businesses within our area. The award for Growing Business of the Year was this year sponsored by Associated British Ports, who delivered the outstanding news that PCE had scooped the coveted award. As the evening drew to a close, PCE were delighted with the one award that we had secured; however there was another twist in store.
A final award of Business of the Year 2018 was announced, with all award winners eligible. Two finalists were chosen by a combined panel of all award sponsors. PCE were first of all announced as 1 of the 2 finalists, which set pulses racing. Without much further ado, PCE Automation were announced as winners of the Business of the Year 2018.
“It goes without saying that we are absolutely delighted to have scooped the Growing Business Award. To have also won the Business of Year Award, is a tremendous honour, considering the exceptional quality of our fellow finalists. We are incredibly thankful to the award sponsors and to the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce for a great evening. The biggest thanks must go to our terrific team, who make it all possible, with their passion for engineering and achievement of excellence.” commented MD James Cook.
