In the build up to Christmas, PCE Automation Ltd, hit the donation trail and in some style. Local Charity The Access Community Trust, who enhance the life opportunities of homeless service users in Lowestoft, ran a ‘Say It with Tins’ campaign, which we opted to support throughout the month of December.
In addition to the collection of tins, PCE also made financial charitable donations, from the money which was due for the Christmas Party, with MD James Cook sanctioning a reduced payment, so long as a donation was made to the Access Community Trust,
In total, £370 was raised, to contribute to the excellent work of the charity, together with a bumper collection of tinned goods, cosmetics and warm clothing, kindly donated by our workforce.
Inspirational Access Community Trust
Steve Mortlock who coordinated the collection commented “We are really pleased with the success of the tin collection and with the the amount of money we were able to raise. Access enhance the lives of their service users in so many ways and it was incredibly humbling to hear some of the successes to arise from their work. Homelessness is something that could happen to anybody for any number of reasons. Their work is truly inspirational and we look forward to supporting them further in future.”
